S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math)

PS 93’s Magnet STEAM program provides access to rigorous science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics-based curriculum that addresses the needs of each student.  Through the education of our students minds and hearts, we want our students to develop to become caring, self-confident, responsible, scientifically and technologically literate global citizens while increasing their  development of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creative skills. 

International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidacy School

As an IB candidacy school we "are committed to active, creative, cross-cultural education.  The goal of an IB education is to create responsible, socially conscious adults who use their cross-cultural education to promote world peace."

IB learners are:

  • encouraged to think critically and solve complex problems
  • drive their own learning
  • a core part in educational programmes that can lead them to some of the highest-ranking universities around the world
  • more culturally aware through the development of a second language 
  • able to engage with people in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world.
