• Scene in D13: District-Wide Arts Showcase

  We are excited to celebrate the Second Annual ART SCENE in District 13, a dynamic, district-wide showcase highlighting the creativity, collaboration, and diverse talents of our students.

  This special event will take place at MS 265 (Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School of the Arts) from 5:00 – 7:30 PM, bringing together schools from across District 13 for an inspiring evening of visual and performing arts.

  P.S. 93 is proudly represented in multiple ways:

  • A collaborative visual art installation featuring student and staff artwork, created in partnership with families and teaching artist Drue
  • A student dance performance developed alongside professional arts partner Flamenco Vivo

  Scene in D13 is a celebration of artistic expression and community, showcasing the meaningful work happening in our schools. We invite families to join us in honoring the creativity and achievements of our students and educators.

  Saturday STEAM Academy -9:30–12:30 PM

  Join us for Saturday STEAM Academy! Students will dive into hands‑on STEAM fun while getting dedicated time to design and polish their science display boards for the school STEM Fair. A perfect mix of creating, exploring, and innovating beyond the school day! 🚀✨

  The school STEM Fair will take place on April 20–21. All students are required to complete a STEM project at home in order to participate in the fair.

  All projects are due by April 15.

• STEM Fair Supply Donations Needed

  he school STEM Fair is quickly approaching! Students are currently working on their class STEM projects during the school day, and we could use a few additional materials to help bring their designs to life.

  If you have any of the following items at home and are able to donate them, it would be greatly appreciated:

  • Cardboard boxes
  • Cardboard tubes (paper towel or toilet paper rolls)
  • Empty, clean plastic water bottles
  • Cans and/or plastic containers

  Please note: No glass items, please.

  Donations may be dropped off in the STEM Lab.

  Additionally, please remember that all students are required to complete a STEM project at home and bring it to school to participate in the STEM Fair.

  Given the severity of the storm forecast and the state of emergency issued by the Governor, all NYC Public Schools will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026.

  We are excited to share that Wednesday, February 4th is our school’s Climate Action Day!
  Students across all grades will take part in hands‑on activities designed to promote environmental awareness and encourage responsible stewardship of our planet.

  As part of our commitment to reducing waste, we kindly ask that each student bring a reusable water bottle to school on this day. This simple action helps us cut down on single‑use plastics and reinforces how everyday choices can make a meaningful difference for our environment.

  We hope everyone is safe and well. Please be advised that school is open today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, for in‑person learning. All classes will follow their regular schedule.

  Our team has ensured that the building is safe and fully accessible for students and staff. As always, we encourage families to allow extra travel time and remind students to dress appropriately for winter weather conditions.

  Breakfast and lunch will be served as usual, and all after‑school programs will run on their standard schedule unless otherwise announced.

  📢 Important Update: Instructional Plans for Monday, January 26, 2026

  Our school's instructional plans for Monday, January 26, 2026, have been shared in a letter from Principal Robinson. This letter is attached below, shared via email, and shared across all of our social media platforms.

  Please follow the directions in the letter to help your child log into their respective Google Classroom. Each scholar has been familiarized with Google Classroom through instruction from their teacher.

  Instruction for the day will be guided by the plans shared by classroom teachers.

  For our 3K and Pre‑K families:
  Teachers sent home activity packages on Friday, January 23, 2026.

• 📢 Important Update for Families: Possible Pivot to Remote Learning on Monday January 26, 2026

   

  Please review the letter from Principal Robinson below regarding our possible pivot to remote learning due to the pending weather conditions on January 26, 2026.

  Dear Parents and Guardians,

  I am writing to inform you of a potential change to our instructional plans for Monday, January 26, 2026.

  At this time, the DOE is monitoring weather conditions that may require us to pivot to remote learning for that day. No final decision has been made yet, but we want to provide families with advance notice so you can plan accordingly if needed.

  Our priority is the safety and well-being of our scholars and staff, while also ensuring continuity of learning. Should a transition to remote learning be necessary, scholars will follow the schedule below as per grade band. Scholars are expected to log in during each synchronous instructional periods outlined below. Instruction will take place on Google Classroom. Each scholar has been familiarized with Google Classroom through instruction from their teacher. 3K-PreK will not follow the plan below. Instructions for their day will be guided by plans shared by the classroom teachers.
